I haven't made it since then (over 20 year ago).Veg-In-Traininghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13496128793872995495noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9190474269354769381.post-54154823886959998162012-10-19T15:05:55.153-04:002012-10-19T15:05:55.153-04:00It is definitely like pasta. If you read what Wolfgang Puck wrote, he says something about when he first had pasta he thought oh they have spaetzle and thought no one else had it. With the cheese it was very mac and cheese like and some recipes actually bake it like a casserole. I'm thinking it might have a place at my Christmas dinner this year.KellyChttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11162107579321509443noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9190474269354769381.post-49649206087646871512012-10-19T15:04:01.174-04:002012-10-19T15:04:01.174-04:00I was having better luck keeping it up high so the...I was having better luck keeping it up high so they would stretch but I'm still investing in an actual spatzle maker so I can get them perfect since we loved them so much. Hope it helps you though!KellyChttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11162107579321509443noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9190474269354769381.post-34774449722387923372012-10-19T15:03:09.615-04:002012-10-19T15:03:09.615-04:00Gotcha! I used my potato ricer most recently but found that they were sticking together too, next time I'll try your suggestions!Melhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10057980932079998162noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9190474269354769381.post-14826524936819329332012-10-16T18:10:31.078-04:002012-10-16T18:10:31.078-04:00I’ve always been intrigued by Schnitzel, I’ve neve...I’ve always been intrigued by Schnitzel, I’ve never tried it but there was just something about the thinness and crispiness that just looked so good. Yours looks waaaay better than any piece of meat, perfectly crisp. I haven’t mastered frying anything battered yet, everytime I do, huge chunks of the batter just wind up in the pan.
So is spaetzle kind of like pasta? It looks like a really yummy creamy pasta on your dish.
Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
